My Last Day at Harry Shaw
As I prepared for my final day at Harry Shaw, a mix of emotions washed over me. My time at this quaint coach company had been short but filled with memorable experiences and wonderful people. Little did I know, that my last day would leave an unforgettable mark on my heart.
I had just finished my morning route, a familiar drive that took me through scenic countryside and bustling small towns. The passengers on my coach were a diverse mix of student, and a few familiar faces who had become like friends over time. Among them was a young woman named Emma, a student who often rode my route.
Emma was always polite and friendly, a bright spot in my day with her warm smile and cheerful demeanor.
As a dedicated student, she usually had her nose buried in a book, yet she never failed to greet me with a nod or a quick chat when she boarded.
On this particular day, as I pulled the coach into the final stop at the College, Emma approached me with an unusual request. With a shy smile, she asked,
“Would you mind if I asked you a few questions about safe driving?
I’ve always admired how smoothly and safely you drive, and I’m preparing for my driving test.”
I was more than happy to help. I spent the next few minutes sharing tips and advice on safe driving.
We talked about everything from the importance of maintaining a safe following distance to handling different weather conditions. Emma listened intently, jotting down notes and asking insightful questions.
As our conversation wrapped up, Emma reached into her bag and pulled out a small, neatly wrapped package. “I wanted to give you something to say thank you,” she said, her eyes sparkling with appreciation. “You’ve always been so kind and professional, and I’ve learned a lot from you, even beyond driving tips.”
I felt a lump in my throat as I read her words.
“This is wonderful, Emma. Thank you so much. I’ll cherish it always.”
As I waved goodbye to Emma and the other students for the last time, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment and gratitude. My time at Harry Shaw had been short, but it had been meaningful. The relationships I’d built and the lives I’d touched, even in small ways, were the true highlights of my journey.
Nagyon kedves történet! Jó látni hogy ilyen kedves és intelligens diákok is vannak.
